The Sierra 1500 has been a best-selling truck for Jacksonville area drivers, for more than a decade. While sticking with the same truck with upgrades for 2022, GMC has focused on the top-shelf Denali and the adventurous AT4 in the Sierra 1500 family. The Denali now has an Ultimate option, and a sturdy off-road vehicle is offered in the AT4X.

Although there have been some powertrain enhancements, the interior improvements are the real news. When you step into one of the new-design Sierra 1500s, you will notice the attention to detail, especially in the new display screens and upgraded materials.

2022 Denali Ultimate

GMC starts with a whole new interior color, which they call Alpine Umber, for the Ultimate. There is also plenty of darkened, grainy wood trim that complements the umber interior. Furthermore, everything seems to be wrapped in leather, including the visors and the grab handles. Throw in a standard power sunroof, 16 way massaging, adjustable power seats, and a 12-way Bose sound system, and you have some serious luxury. For the display enhancements, both a rear camera mirror display and a multicolor head-up display are standard.

2022 AT4X

The AT4X is an off-road truck but in a premium mode. This year brings better suspension along with rear and front e-locking differentials. Standard on the 2022 AT4X is leather trim front seats, leather steering wheel, head-up display, and a sunroof. Standard safety features for 2022 include a backup camera, blind spot monitor, cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and tire pressure monitor.
