Performance and handling remain strong suits of the GMC Yukon. The Yukon features several different engines. Most trim levels are powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine. Driven by the base engine, the GMC Yukon gets a maximum power output of 355 horsepower and cranks out 383 pound-feet of torque.
Saint Augustine area shoppers can also get two other engines for the Yukon depending on your preference for trim and power. The Denali trim level gets its own V8 engine with an increased power output of up to 420 horsepower. The Denali's engine delivers an impressive amount of torque as well up to 460 pound-feet. If you prefer a diesel engine, you can choose to get the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that has a total of 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque in power output. You'll get a 10-speed automatic for the transmission no matter which engine you go with.
You can opt for four-wheel drive on most trim levels of the Yukon except for the AT4, which comes standard with four-wheel drive. The others are equipped with rear-wheel drive. Towing strength varies by engine and trim. The four-wheel drive versions of the Yukon will tow up to 8,000 pounds. You'll get a maximum towing capacity of 8,400 pounds instead with the 5.3-liter engine and if you choose rear-wheel drive. These towing ratings put the GMC Yukon ahead of its peers for towing power.

While there is much to get excited about beneath the hood of the new GMC Yukon, power and towing capabilities are just the start of what the well-rounded SUV offers. The Yukon also has an impressive cabin that is spacious and filled with amenities. The Yukon starts off with an eight-person seating layout at the base level with two seats up front and two three-seat bench rows behind that.
For technology, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard, which is impressive for a base model compared to other vehicles in the SLE's class. Orange Park buyers will get a large and user-friendly 10.2-inch touchscreen to start off with as well.
While the base trim provides plenty in the way of creature comforts and luxuries, the higher-end trim levels offer even more. The second trim, which is the SLT, has a wireless charging pad in addition to the base-level conveniences that you'll get. It also upgrades to leather upholstery. Fully climate-controlled heated and ventilated seats in front are also standard with the SLT. You'll get a hands-free liftgate with this trim level as well, and it upgrades in audio to a Bose sound system.
The AT4 is a mostly off-road oriented trim, but it has unique color schemes inside and out. It also adds a heated steering wheel. The Denali has navigation and a premium Bose sound system.
